The new fridge and freezer in the pantry–thanks to those who made this possible!  The Food Pantry Ministry was restructured in the summer of 2014 to help us connect more deeply with our community. In 2016 we served 6,316 people in 2,064 families!

Welborne’s Community Food Pantry

Monday evenings from 5:00 to 6:30 pm & Thursday mornings from 9:30 to 11:30 am.

If You Need Food

If you are in need of food, we are glad to help you as often as twice a month, if you live in the zip codes of 23229, 23238, 23226, 23294 and 23233.

We also assist referrals from agencies with whom we work (i.e. Crossover Clinic, Henrico County).

  5. hearty soup (not broth)
  6. diced tomatoes

Please check expiration dates if you are sharing from your home.  

Our Service:

For the Week ending November 17, 2017, the Pantry served 164 people from 52 families.

To Make Donations

Donations to the food pantry can be made during office hours (8:30-3:30 Mon-Thursday) or on Sunday morning. A donation box is located outside the church office.  Money may also be donated and we will use it to buy healthy food.  Click the button below to donate through Pay Pal.




If You Want to Volunteer

Volunteers are needed to staff the food pantry, pick up donations, sort and stock food and more.  To volunteer: create a user name and password and to use on sign-up genius.

Local community partners for our Food Pantry include Crossover Clinic, Henrico Country Department of Social Services, Panera Bread, Shalom Farms, WaWa, Y Guides, The Period Patch, Gayton Baptist Church, Derbyshire Baptist Church, St. Jude’s Anglican Church, and St. Andrews UMC. We are grateful for all that these groups do to partner with us to offer food to those in need.
