Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:2 (NRSV)

A Christian without a small group is like an ember removed from the fireplace – at first, it burns bright, but very quickly, the light in it dies. For the light to return, the ember must be placed back into the heart of the fire, with the other burning embers. At Welborne, we have many opportunities for you to stay there, in the heart of the fire. If you’re looking for your fireplace, join us on Sunday morning during the Sunday School hour, or at one of our mid-week groups.

New Women’s Class Study

The Women’s Class would like to invite all women to their new study of Fresh Expressions, “A  New Kind of Methodist Church for People Not in Church,” beginning on Sunday, February 18th in the parlor at 10:00 a.m. Mainline church membership is declining. Our world is increasingly nonreligious. God’s Holy Spirit, however, is kindling a new movement to reach those who have either tuned out church or have never participated in it. Join us for a Bible study grounded in prayer as we explore this new movement begun in England and now spreading to the U.S. This study will challenge us to consider ways that we can do church differently and examine what are the traditions that we hold most dear. Join us for this thought provoking study!

The Julian Alley Class

This is a traditional Sunday School class that meets Sunday @ 10 am.  We use the Adult Bible Studies quarterly, supplemented by the internet.  We meet in Fellowship A, discuss the material, and welcome all who would like to study with us.  Our current emphasis is on Biblical covenants.

This class meets Sunday mornings exploring the Bible as one complete story. Led by Katie St. Germain for adults at 10 and youth @ 11.

The Tuesday Morning Bible study will begin a 5 week study on the Book of James on January 16th. The group meets at 11:30 in The Parlor.
