Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:2 (NRSV)

A Christian without a small group is like an ember removed from the fireplace – at first, it burns bright, but very quickly, the light in it dies. For the light to return, the ember must be placed back into the heart of the fire, with the other burning embers. At Welborne, we have many opportunities for you to stay there, in the heart of the fire. If you’re looking for your fireplace, join us on Sunday morning during the Sunday School hour, or at one of our mid-week groups.

This summer in worship from July 2 through August 13, we will be exploring in worship and small group the topic of understanding among people of different faiths. The first two weeks will cover what it means as a Christian to be in relationship with other faiths.  The next 5 weeks will explore other faith traditions and what we might be able to learn from them, especially what is harmonious with our faith.  We will meet at 9:30 in Nave Hall for small group discussion, followed by worship at 10:30.
