Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:2 (NRSV)

A Christian without a small group is like an ember removed from the fireplace – at first, it burns bright, but very quickly, the light in it dies. For the light to return, the ember must be placed back into the heart of the fire, with the other burning embers. At Welborne, we have many opportunities for you to stay there, in the heart of the fire. If you’re looking for your fireplace, join us on Sunday morning during the Sunday School hour, or at one of our mid-week groups.

Breakthrough Prayer:New Women’s Class Study

The new Women’s class study Breakthrough Prayer by Jim Cymbala will teach you how to achieve spirit-filled prayer that can be life changing while drawing you into a more intimate relationship with our Father. Perhaps you have become discouraged because your prayers don’t seem to be answered or you don’t even see the point in praying because God already knows all before you ask. Come join us on Sept. 17th in the parlor at 9:45 am and hear powerful true stories of how prayer did make a difference.  If you are interested in this study or have questions, please contact Sue Fishell .
