Lindsey Baynham Freeman,  Pastor

Rev. Lindsey Baynham Freeman is an ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church and served as the Director in the Center for Clergy Excellence for 5 years.  Previously, she has served in the local church, campus ministry at George Mason University, and Associate Director of Call Candidacy & Discernment.  Lindsey is a Virginia native and grew up in Richmond as well as Yorktown, VA. Both equally feel like home. Matthew, Lindsey’s husband is a consultant for Race & Diversity Inclusion through his business Dialectix Consulting. Matthew is also a Virginia (and Richmond!) native–he even attended elementary school across the street from Welborne! They were married in December of 2020, have 2 children and both love music, to cook and to travel (which looks a little different now). When it comes to ministry, Lindsey is passionate about crafting worship experiences for folks to encounter the holy, connecting folks in light of their gifts, preaching, teaching and being in mission with the community.  Her Clifton StrengthsFinder Signature Strengths are: Adaptibilty, Restorative, Empathy, Arranger and Deliberative and she is Enneagram 3 (and loves to talk about the Enneagram!) She can be reached at pastor@www.welbornechurch.org or ext. 103

Danielle Maddock,  Preschool Director

Danielle Maddock is thrilled to be director at Welborne Christian Preschool.  She has been happily teaching at WCP for the passed 22 years.  She started the two-year-old class in 2001, has taught Jump for Joy, Prekindergarten and Junior kindergarten.

Danielle grew up on Long Island and has a master’s degree in elementary education from SUNY Stony Brook.  She taught elementary school for 10 years before having her first child.  Shortly after that, she moved to Richmond when her husband, John, accepted a job with McGuireWoods.  They have raised two amazing children who both attended WCP.  Her daughter is a physicist and her son a welder so WCP clearly lays the foundation for any occupation.

When not spending time with family, Danielle and her husband enjoy travelling, cycling, and attending concerts.

She can be reached at : preschool@www.welbornechurch.org
